I was contacted by a small company at its headquarter for a job interview. There was no mention of any reimbursement and I accepted the job interview request without any questions. The salary is going to 20-30% lower than what I know I can get/have been earning if I can just get through a job interview process successfully without messing something up. However, I know I can't be too picky right now so I've sending my resume to various places such as this one. How would you handle this? It's nearly 3-3.5 hours spent in my car round trip.

It depends on your situation. If you are employed, you have leverage and can ask for reimbursement. If you're not, you have to just consider if it's worth your time and energy to drive that far.
Too many factors too little info. I just drove 1000 miles on my own $$$ for my job search. I determined there were more opps so I made a decision and it appears to be paying off. Only you can decide what's right for you with so many variables. You can write it off on taxes as well.
I drove to San Francisco from Reno for a job interview. That is four hours one way. The job was worth it and I never asked for reimbursement. I didn't end up getting it but I was glad I tried.
"Would you drive 90 miles for a job interview with no reimbursement
If I am unemployed, the answer is yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes!
If I am employed, I would definitely make the drive if it is a job I really want, and it likely is, since I applied to it (already being employed).
I would never ask, nor expect reimbursement for travel costs to a job interview. If offered for long distance travel (plane ride, overnight stay), I would find it a benefit.
(FYI - I drive 54 miles each way to work every day.)
