I got an email last week stating my phone interview went well and was asked if I was interested in an in person interview. I promptly emailed back saying that I was interested.

I got the email last Tuesday so I sent another email earlier this week on Tuesday stating I had sent an email expressing my interest and I wasn't sure if it was received so I wanted to follow up.

Now Thursday and still nothing. I am completely confused as to what's going on.

Perhaps they're flaky and unorganized.
Perhaps they're swamped.
Perhaps you were plan B and they don't need anymore candidates.

Some companies just move very slowly. When my husband was being interviewed for his current job, they would tell him they'd call the next week to set up the next interview, and it would be a month instead. Every time he had just about given up, they would call for the next stage of the process. He applied in Feb and didn't start working there until August.

If the job is worth it and you can afford to wait, hang in there and don't pester them, they'll probably get back to you after Thanksgiving.

Or after new years.
Gotta finish their champagne first before sharing it with new recruits.

Unless you have a bunch of money saved up, I'd continue job-hunting.

Welp they did get back to me 2 weeks ago saying they still would like me to come in for an interview. After that never heard from them again.

I sent another follow up email the other day. Hope I am not being a pest with these emails just really want the job and I have no clue what's going on.
