Go with a suit. I doubt they will not offer you a position based solely on you wearing a suit.

Why not ask the company what to wear?

If that isn't possible, I agree that going one step up from the industry daily norm is a good idea.

As for the OP, I would wear a suit just to be on the safe side. It will show that you were prepared for the interview.

Wear the normal attire for the particular business to an interview there. This is not complicated. Black tie events mean you wear a tux; beach parties call for swimsuit and t-shirt. Most activities fit within these two extremes. Familiarity with this system of social attire is one of the elements that demonstrates an ability to perform a job with little supervision.
