I started getting heart pains and I thought it was a physical problem not a mental one,,, and now the interviewer knew this happened to me, is this in my favor or I just lost it all. I have been with the company so they know me, but this new job is more responsibility and now well not much I can do,, it happened. I am very understanding person, but like to hear some feed back
If they know it happened and why, they probably will pass for someone with less drama. Employers just want someone who can do the job and who will show up when they are supposed to without causing a lot of turmoil.
Kind of like, "If she can't even make it in for the interview, how will she make it in for work every day?"
If the prospect of a new position is giving you heart problems, do you really want to be in that job? The pressure will be worse, once you start. You have to look out for yourself. A lower paying job with less stress can be better for your well-being.
I never would have relayed information of a medical nature to anyone...anyone, ever. It's no one's business. If I had been hospitalized--I would have said something very general and generic, "to rule out such and such," "my family hx is strong & I wanted to make sure of such and such," etc...
