Hi, I had my FIRST gotomeeting interview via the web yesterday and had some tips to share.

1. Make sure your camera is working and your microphone. (My mic wasn't so I called in and was able to participate through audio that way).

2. Do a trial run the night before. (I was four minutes late b/c it took my slow computer a while to log into the meeting).

3. Dress like you're on a interview. I know you're at home and it may be tempting to keep the pj's on but dress accordingly even though they'll only see your chest up.

4. Look into the camera and SMILE.

5. No noise or distractions in the background.

6. Choose a well lit area.

7. Thank your interviewer(s) at the end.

I am really glad for technology. This saved me from driving out of state to interview.

Thanks for sharing these interviewing tips for video conferencing (job interview). I didn't have one yet, but you never know on down the road. I've had Skype conferences with my job before, but I usually limit mine to audio (no video).

It seems to be the wave of the future and saves on traveling for interviews.
