I would have no idea of how to obtain my SAT score. That was 27 years ago.

I have no issue with an employer requiring a test to get a job. However this is doubtful since not all universities even require it...AND they are making major changes to the test in a few years.

I think with the older tests there was a time limit after which your scores were no longer available. If anyone asks, I got a 1600 :-)

I've long since forgotten everything I crammed for the SATs, so what would be the point of knowing my scores?

Also, didn't they re-calibrate the scale at one point? Would old scores even be directly comparable to recent test takers results?

Interesting. A growing number of colleges are phasing out the SAT requirement, and ACTs have never been required everywhere. I predict this little hiring trend won't last long.

This is kind of bizarre. If someone already has a Bachelors degree, or worse, a Masters, what are the results of a pre-college test suppose to mean? Isn't the fact that you graduated and have a degree kind make those results moot? If this is true then I'm 100% positive that this sort of idiocy came from an HR person.

Who the hell remembers their SAT scores?

The SAT had one purpose - to get me into college. After that, it became just a memory of getting up too early on a Saturday morning and going out to lunch with my friends afterward.

They use the SAT score like an IQ test. Companies can't use IQ tests as per SCOTUS. At the end of the day only top companies that rely on an intelligent workforce use SATs as part of the hiring process. Most workers won't be asked for SAT scores.

This is stupid, of companies want to hire an 'intelligent' workforce, then hiring people with college degrees goes a whole lot farther than asking sat scores.

While I don't disagree with your initial assessment, it is silly to use a SAT score when someone has attended a decent university (top 20 or so).
