The OP needs to wait until he knows for sure what his rights are in regard to the house.
Even if they did-what would they live on? OP if I recall is near Chicago, $1,191/month, what is left after property taxes and utilities?

The OP has a long history of posting on this board with details regarding his work and family history. I would suggest posters who are unfamiliar with him to look over some of his old post before jumping to conclusions (and wasting suggestions) regarding the OP's difficulty with finding employment, finances, and family.

By the OP own past admission, he has been living rent & utilities free at his parents, with them paying for some of his expenses while he spends his SSDI on expensive computers, bikes and clothes. His father no longer has a part in the assets of the trust, yet the OP expect the father's money be spend on the property tax and utilities. Does the father still reside at the home with the OP? If not, that money should really be spend of the care of the father. Even if the father still reside with the OP, the OP should AT LEAST take some financial responsibility in the home.

The brother might well have very legitimate reason to want to sell the home and cleanly divide the assets of the trust at this time. He probably doesn't want to get saddled with financially supporting his brother for the rest of his life.

Agreed. Be sure to check out his bragging about his $20,000 worth of bikes and his $7,000 gaming computer.

Assuming you have a career of ME related experience, you should be making near or just above 100K.

Yeah, it's pathetic that Chicago employers wouldn't pay me at least $48K/yr during 2009 to 2011 - they were too cheap. I should have done nationwide contract jobs instead.

I wish I was a SR ME making 100K/yr.

Many companies discriminated against the unemployed from 2009 to 2010.

I have a similar issue myself. I'm 24 and since 2007 I've worked a total of about 3 months, due to disability and now I'm trying to re-enter the workforce but I wonder if I even stand a chance for the most menial jobs.

If your a paranoid schizophrenic thats been unemployed for 5 years, theres good odds that people can sense it. Take anything you can find, and work your way back into making good money.

As a recent editorial in the Chicago Tribune pointed out, Chicago lost over 200,000 residents between 2000-10 according to the US Census Bureau as folks tired of sky-high COL expenses, lousy schools and crime left for thriving cities elsewhere with much brighter futures and much less expensive housing prices.

The OP should have considered leaving, even if for nearby cities such as Madison or Rochester, as well as the Twin Cities or Indianapolis.
