When you see a job on Indeed or Monster or other similar sites do you apply for the position through that site or do you go directly to the company site and apply there or find the hiring manager and apply directly?

Does anyone know the path your resume etc takes when you apply through Indeed etc vs. direct through the website. Does it get to HR or the Hiring Manager more quickly? Does it go through an applicant tracking system through these sites too? Advantages, disadvantages etc?

I am especially interested in hearing from HR type people but all feedback is welcome.
Thanks

It's always best to apply through the company's site. Depending on the size of the company, most companies prioritize direct applicants over external job site applicants.

Indeed usually takes you to the company site, if it doesn't, I go to the company site and apply from there. I think it's better to use a company site if you can.

I have found jobs on Indeed to be old. Personally I have had more luck with the company website.

They go to the companies which own other companies and branch off to where a job is needed.

Is there any other better job sites than Indeed and Monster with fresher leads? I'm looking for MBA, business grad types of positions. Thanks!

You need to create your own target list of companies and apply directly. Visit the sites daily.

Some company websites have where you can set up a job alert to have jobs emailed to you as they come up when you create a profile on the website.

Try ZipRecruiter.com. This site posts jobs from several other job search sites such as Monster, SimplyHired, The JobNetwork, Jobs2Careers, Glassdoor and more.
