I get a callback from a job I applied on craigslist that did not list a company name. The guy called from an unknown # and proceeded to go over my resume and experience. He ends the phone interview with saying that due to the confidentiality of his business the in person interviews will be at a Dunkin Donuts..huh

Sounds like some type of scammy MLM type job.

Do you happen to have the link or the verbiage from the ad? I would be curious to see it.

It was an accounting job family owned business it stated. The company name that he gave me on the phone did not come up.

Just want to let everyone to know to be careful.

Why can't he meet you at the company? I would tell him I'd prefer to meet in a more professional setting and would be interested in seeing the company.

It's very possible that a small company is replacing and existing position and cannot interview without tipping this off.

Can't hurt to meet at the DD and have a cup. Public place and all.

Sounds fugazi to me. Unless this is the NSA why is he hiding his telephone number and meeting in a dunkin donuts? Likely a MLM scheme like another poster said. If you go do not give out ss # or personal information.

Okay, this jogged the old memory. Now that you mention it, I do remember hearing about a couple of other people who were asked to meet off-site because it was the situation described above.

Wear a bullet proof vest and I hope you have a concealed weapons permit.

Confidentiality of his business? Is he a drug lord?
