I am unemployed (laid off due to change in business needs) and I received an email from a hiring manager from my old job for an interview on Wednesday (9/3) for a different position. I replied back with the times that I am available to interview and I haven't receive a response back from the manager. How long should I wait before trying to contact her again? I don't want to be a pest but I am interested in the job and do prefer going back to my old employer than starting over at another company and have to prove my again. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks
I would have picked up the phone prior to 9/3. Call today and tell her you were thinking she would call, but assume she's been busy, and you'd like to know when you can come in for the interview.
Following up isn't being a pest. I wish you the best of luck!
She email me on Wednesday and I replied to the email on the same day. I'm going to call her at 3PM today to see if she receive the email so that we can schedule an interview. Thanks for the feedback.
So she emailed you on Wednesday, 9/3, for an interview the same day? Or did you write it wrong and meant to say she emailed you on Wednesday, 9/3, for an interview? There is a difference.
I would still pick up the phone and call her today, regardless of what you meant.
call her right now... its 9/5 in the USA so i dont think you need to wait till 3 PM....
Edit: I think you meant she emailed on 09/03 to set up an interview. If thats the case, Id call/email her on Monday morning following up. If she wanted to interview you on 09/03, Id call her this second.
I meant to say that she email me on Wednesday to scheduled an interview with me after reviewing my resume. I replied back with the time and dates that I was available.
I just called her and it went straight to her voicemail stating that she is working remotely and gave an alternative number to contact her. Should I call the alternative number today or wait until Monday to reach her?

I called the alternative number and left a voicemail. Hope I get a response soon so I can interview for the position.
