Last week I had a phone interview with a Financial company. Went really well. Next day ( Thursday afternoon) I got an email saying that the Dept Head hiring wants to see me and what is my availability to come in to the office . I gave them my availability for last Friday and all this week. Never heard back Thursday/Friday or today. Is it ok to email the HR person back and if so how long do I wait . Thanks.

Wait until tomorrow before you email them. If you don't hear by noon tomorrow, go ahead and either call or email them.
