That's silly. There is nothing offensive about that.

I agree. OP, don't know what you were thinking, but hopefully you've updated your page.

Wmsn4Life didn't say offensive. She said unprofessional, which it is.

I cant see how anyone would to call someone because of basically a bank linked in page except for one word. I mean it's not like I have page filled with hate rhetoric or anything truley serious

Yes I have done a little to it to make it look better since then. I also put up a proper photo

Is it ok to send a message to the HR person telling them my profile was not yet done and that I just returned to linked in?

It might be better to lie and say your account was hacked and you just noticed it and updated it. "I'm letting you know because I noticed you viewed it last week and I'm not sure when it was changed."

You don't need to add information, by the way, you can upload your resume. Just do a search on google on how to do that and you'll find instructions.

Well I would just say that I rejoined linked in and had not completed my profile. This is true as I had only rejoined about 3 weeks ago. I left due to all the spam

That's what I may do. I look normal so maybe they wanted to see what I look like. What is a connection request? why cant I send a personal message

Just take two minutes out to upload your resume and save time instead of updating it each day.

Connection request - when you find someone you know and you ask to connect to them so you are both listed as a connection for one another. You will also get requests that you'll have to accept in order to be listed as their contact and have you listed as theirs.

You cannot send personal messages unless you have a paid account and not just using the free basic version of Linkedin.

is a connection request too formal? what is that thing that notifies people that my profile is now updated? and will they see it even though we are not connected?
