I wish I could downvote you for this. You're turning your nose up because someone has a yahoo address? One of the most brilliant men I know has a hotmail address for God's sake. I mean, email snobbery? Really?

In answer to OP's question:

You look for job postings and collect up the jobs and contacts you want to apply to. Then apply when Yahoo mail comes back up.
