Well I hope, but they have not been contacted yet. I find that odd wouldn't they have done so yet. Maybe this week?

Would they ask for references not check and then reject me?

Contacting references can be different depending on the company. Some use the telephone but the two job offers I received my references were contacted by email and through postal mail.

The one that involved email was a form my references had to complete and email back. Then the one dealt with my references having to mail a form back in the mail to HR. The people who you choose as your references, did you submit a email and mailing address for all of them in addition to the phone number?

Is there anytime they would ask multiple times for references during the interview and then change their minds? is that even normal? I am prepared for the worst and usually assume it

For the last time, when you are asked for references it's the final step before a job offer

I have heard nothing back Thursday or Friday no rejection letter, no offer nothing. Why would they ask for references then disappear? would have sent me a rejection letter by now?

They were super prompt in responding to my resume, the phone interview and booking me in person but now I have heard nothing, no rejection nothing.

My references have not been called they would have contacted me.

Now what
I have had two jobs ask for references. One wanted five. Haven't heard a peep since. Thanks HR. Heck of a job.
