Well I hope, but they have not been contacted yet. I find that odd wouldn't they have done so yet. Maybe this week?
Would they ask for references not check and then reject me?

The one that involved email was a form my references had to complete and email back. Then the one dealt with my references having to mail a form back in the mail to HR. The people who you choose as your references, did you submit a email and mailing address for all of them in addition to the phone number?

Yes they did and home address's too. I have heard nothing since. Nothing from anyone
Yes send a email thursday evening asking were they able to get in touch with all your references.

For the last time, when you are asked for references it's the final step before a job offer
I went in for an interview on Wednesday (The week before I did a phone screening). I said basically nothing throughout the whole thing and the CIO and CFO just talked about their business. I answer only a few questions not much at all.
Towards the end the CIO asked for references, I said I would get them to him. Then we talked some more for a bit and then on the way out in the doorway he reminded me again a 2nd time to send my references in to the HR person to send off to him. So I sent them in later that day.
I have heard nothing back Thursday or Friday no rejection letter, no offer nothing. Why would they ask for references then disappear? would have sent me a rejection letter by now?
They were super prompt in responding to my resume, the phone interview and booking me in person but now I have heard nothing, no rejection nothing.
My references have not been called they would have contacted me.
