I am planning on moving to another city as soon as a job opportunity comes up. Most of the time, I make the drive out there for an interview (try to get more than one in a day so it can be worth the 7 hr drive). Today, they called me and asked for an interview. Luckily, they told me they would work with me and do this via Skype. They plan on calling me around 2pm but I will still be at work (current job) at that time. Would it look bad to do this Skype interview from my car? There really are no other rooms and our break room is noisy at that time.
It could be a bit strange. Can you let them know ahead of time you are happy to interview at that time, however it will be from your car so you can ensure privacy? It's tough when you are in a situation like that.
Well Skype didnt work out so they ended up calling me(we couldnt connect) and we had a phone interview. I just sent them a thank you email for taking the time to call me.
