I interviewed in November was and hired in December. After I started, the hiring manager said they got hardly any resumes because of the holidays. Chicken or the Egg? What came first?
It's especially hard to hire for salaried positions with bonuses, because the bonuses are typically paid out in February or March for many companies.

Same thing happened with my current job which was being interviewed the first week of November and started the job in the middle of December. The two times I was unemployed around the holiday season I never interviewed in December only November.
I will it's about 45 to 50 more days left of job seeking until after Labor Day.
