When is the best time of the year to land a job? I assume the beginning of the year is when most companies hire the most? Or is there a better time?

Best is when you feel like needing a job, At the start of fiscal years are when companies budget in new hires but if it isn't filled, it cares over anyways

When everyone else is taking a break from Job hunting. For example the holidays, and the summer. Job seekers tend not to work as hard, and figure hiring managers are off.

Not a lot of hiring going on in July, August, and December.

I interviewed in November was and hired in December. After I started, the hiring manager said they got hardly any resumes because of the holidays. Chicken or the Egg? What came first?

It's especially hard to hire for salaried positions with bonuses, because the bonuses are typically paid out in February or March for many companies.

Same thing happened with my current job which was being interviewed the first week of November and started the job in the middle of December. The two times I was unemployed around the holiday season I never interviewed in December only November.

I also agree with november and december but think early summer is a good time to, definitely seasonal jobs open up.
