i did not get a call from the last interview, so i have another one coming from another place. its from a big red retailer, how should i prepare because they rejected me before. they said it was because my answers to the interview questions were not so good (that was not told directly). so what is your advice ?
Peter, your spelling is still terrible. (I am horrible too). Let me suggest you use Google Chrome, it has spell check so you can see what words you are spelling wrong. Do you think are you are making spelling mistakes on your application?
That said, the questions you are posting are ones you would be asked at many job interviews. Do you have past experience? Think of a situation you had happen.
"Tell me about a time you had a great guest experience". They want to know a time you went above and beyond helping a customer. A perfect example is the Target employees that helped a young man shop for a tie and prepare for an interview.
"If someone you know would say you had an area of improvement what would that be". They want to know your weaknesses. This is an area where you make your negative a positive. "I will sometimes answer emails too quickly to take care of a situation. I have learned to take a step back and take my time to answer a question.
You can get some great examples if you Google that may spark answers that pertain to your experience.
It may not be your answers, but your nerves. Are you confident? Look them in the eye? Smile? Gain a good rapport?
My thoughts exactly. Incorrect spelling, grammar, and punctuation gives a bad impression. Capitalizing the word "I" is very basic stuff. These types of mistakes make the company think you don't pay attention to detail, and that's especially important when you're working retail (especially running a cash register).
