I applied for a software development position found off craigslist on the 2nd. They got back to me today with a question about experience with a particular technology. I responded and now the recruiter is asking if I'm open to speak on the phone this afternoon or tomorrow to which I responded.

Over the holiday I had updated my resume to fix some problems based on feedback where I didn't explain how I did a particular work item and I also added additional work items to a job. It was a 1 page resume now its 1.5 pages. I want to send the update to the recruiter, but I suck at finding a job and need to know if this is an OK thing to do?

I would suggest making some additional changes to your resume. 1 1/2 pages leaves a lot of empty space. If you don't have anything additional to add such as degrees, certifications, or awards to fill the extra half page, consider changing margins, fonts, or removing non relevant information to condense to only 1 page.

The strictly 1 page resume is outdated. It is not uncommon to find people in my profession with 3-4 pages of resume.

That makes sense. I couldn't squeeze it on one page without making it look like I tried squeezing too much into one page.

I have an interview today at 2:00 PM on this same job. I'm pretty nervous as I don't have the required "business attire", I have a 1/2 day notice for the interview and I haven't interviewed in a couple years. Slacks, nice shoes and a short sleeve collar shirt is what I'm using. F it. I'll chalk it up as practice, but I'm giving it all I can; bypassing a jump into the wood chipper near their office.
