Developing programming skills (Python, SAS) will also help you get a foot in the door.

Very good advice. Also, learn about CRO (clinical research organizations), drug development, etc. There is a HUGE market for that but they want you to have some experience in it (same old Catch-22). I know you just finished school, so maybe getting essentially a data-entry position at a CRO would give you something for your resume later; I just know I have years of health data experience, SAS, etc, and when I was in a job hunt recently, there were SO many CRO jobs, but none were interested in me since I had never worked in that field. Even a short online course on drug development or the clinical trials process could be the extra thing it takes to get them to interview you.

Also, learn a data display tool like Tableau. It makes Excel graphs look like coloring books, and is not that hard to learn (I think you can do quite a bit with it on the public version, without a license). You can really wow people with your knowledge of Tableau, or Crystal Reports (older, but many places still use it), for data analysis jobs.
