I've been unemployed for about a month, but this is my 3rd go around on unemployment this year due to various reasons. I have been going on about 3 interviews a week, but have not received any offers. I only have 7 weeks left of unemployment, so should I remain positive I am close to something or do I bury my head in the sand and claim defeat?
I have about 7 weeks left of unemployment too. I've been told not to give up either. What does giving up mean? Just not searching for a job? I'll take that. If I apply to 100 places 99 are not going to hire me assuming 1 does. That's me trying to convince places that I'm better than what they currently have or anyone else who applies. I'm not sending in a batch of brownies with my applications though so I'm not making my application any better than someone else's. I don't how to remain positive. Once the water gets shut off that's got to be around the time the funds are depleted.
The worst part of this is the waiting! I have 2 jobs that brought me in for final interviews and Im waiting on a status. Have an interview tomorrow that knows I am in final interviews and is rushing to get me in there to interview. To go on about 15 phone/ in person interviews in 2 months is awesome, but to still be here without a job sucks.
Just keep in mind that the guy / girl who is interviewing You also had to go to an interview to get their Job. They probably felt the same as You in one way or another.
