Anyone finding it a challenge to find full time work? (job openings, employer)

Nothing but awful permanent positions or contract work since 2010. Blew thru thousands just to stay afloat. There are many $10-12 per hour jobs, several $14-15 jobs (but they are still bad and really expect ya to walk on water and be a data analyst at an Assistant.s salary) and only a few $17 -25 + positions here in MN. I am stretched thin right now financially.
Corporate jobs have evolved so much now. Everyone looks like a zombie after staring into a box while having 9 different programs open and mesh them together. All because they add more patches to these programs instead of investing in better, more functional programs. Sorry i went off topic there. Off the soapbox.
Hi, so I was laid off back in 2014. Since then worked low paying full time job's or high paying part time job's. Been searching within my company for full time gigs, but continous part time job's or full time job's being filled by people with more year's.
Trying to find per diem work, but nothing bites or too far away making it difficult to balance with current work schedule.
Been able to pick up over 40 hour's last 4 month's at work, but now back to 24 and it's a bummer.
Have the Career Center that is recommended by Unemployment help you locate full-time employment. That's how I found my full-time job because most employers prefer referrals rather than being contacted directly from someone on the outside.

If that was/is that much help then more people would be finding jobs that way. I personally have never had luck finding a decent enough paying job through them anymore than any other means of job searching. Actually I have better luck with other means of job searching where I at least can land an interview once in awhile.

The career center is paid to find the public employment and all you have to do is register in person and create a profile on their website and then you all set. They have staffing specialists who will forward your resume to employers when a job becomes available. Those people at the career center will land the interview for you.

It's great and all that it worked for you, but if it worked for everyone there wouldn't be so many people looking for work.

If that option was so fool-proof for everyone then no one would be out of work now would they? There are a lot of people/companies who are paid to find people work. As a matter of fact I don't know anyone who finds people jobs that isn't doing it for a living and getting paid.
The simple fact is, if there are not enough jobs to go around for everyone then it doesn't matter how much people get paid or how hard they try, they aren't going to find everyone a job. Sure, they might have 'jobs' but if they don't pay enough to even afford transportation to even get there then it is a moot point.
No one entity, despite what you may think and believe, has that magic bullet or has that much power. Please.

What I am trying to explain to you is they place people in jobs on a daily basis which is how they remain in existence. Those staffing specialists are not paid to sit around and not find anyone full-time employment because if not they would not have a job. That's why I recommend that place to anyone I can because I will always be so grateful they found me a full-time job with benefits.
