So, overall, do you think that more companies outsource because our government is too costly, or because they figure that they can get cheaper labor internationally than they can in the States and because they care more for profit than country?
Both, but Obama has been dead set on spreading US jobs to poorer countries.
A US president could easily stop this outsourcing, but you may notice they are not stopping it but encouraging it.

We have a pretty high (compared to many other countries) corporate income tax. On the flip side, quite a few of the companies that are outsourcing are ALSO pushing for Amnesty for illegals and/or big H1B visa increases, indicating that they may have less than noble reasons for outsourcing/offshoring.

(Also, to be fair, it's not just national governments making it harder to run a business, some state and local governments are guilty of doing this too. Indeed, there have been cases where companies will outsource from a high cost state (like Illinois) to a lower cost state. Same thing with Chicago, which has a very high property tax (among other things). Companies are leaving the city because of it.)
Well, when was the last Nuke plant built? How about a oil refinery? Oil Terminal?

I know, it's mostly environmental and yes, three mile island is still remembered (So is Chernobyl) Here in Vancouver, we have the chance to have some nice high paid union jobs come here, but the environmentalists are screaming bloody murder while ignoring that oil has be barged up and down the Columbia for decades...

Say what, exactly? Corporations shouldn't be paying taxes if their investors have to pay taxes on earnings. It makes no sense to tax both.

If we continue to tax both, then we should tax all other investments the same way. For example, if you purchase a home for $100,000 and in a year, it's worth $105,000, you should have to pay taxes on that $5000 gain in that year. Additionally, if you were to tell the home, you should have to pay an additional tax on that $5000 gain.

People pay income tax, sales tax, and land taxes. That is triple taxation in my mind.

Corporations pay very few taxes, and at a much lower level than the past. If the corporation does not pay dividends, as many don't, there isn't any real taxation on profits at all. They are sheltered overseas.
Taxes are paid when profits are dispersed to investors. When these investors purchase goods, they pay sales tax. Then they purchase land, the pay land tax.
