Hemlock, that is interesting to know.
I don't mean approaching hiring managers to help with getting a job - so pushy. but trying to connect with a possible hiring manager 3-6 months in advance and not ask for a job. I read something for Liz Ryan before but can't find it and she recommends reaching directly to the hiring manager but I found it pushy.
I didn't know that participating in the groups is helpful, but maybe I should try that.
