isn't his school helping at all? Most of the top universities have some good placement programs with big companies. The other thing is - he hasn't graduated YET, so i wouldn't be so down on him for not having a job yet. You really need to calm down a little, give him some respect and things will happen when they happen. If the job is super specialized- those don't come up everyday and when they do there are also people from out of state (and country mind you) applying as well.

He needs to find a career coach. Someone that can help him with prepping for interviews. Plenty of them online. He will have to pay for services. But will be well worth it if he takes it serious.

Thanks guys, I am going to try and chill out about it. He was just in Burbank for a PPG interview yesterday. He also thinks he should be applying for less chemist jobs and more engineering jobs. I am just stressed out because we may be a one income family soon. Thanks for your advice. I am not a science person so it helped a lot!
