So I interviewed with a company for an Executive Assistant position this afternoon. Overall I felt I did a good job. I was only supposed to meet with another EA but ended up meeting the Manager who I will be supporting as well.

I am passionate about the company and feel I can make a great impact. Everything they were looking for I am qualified for. Also, the pay is phenomenal; it would be life changing.

I just sent off my thank you emails and the Manger responded right away that is was a please meeting with me. I am hoping that is a good sign. However, my brain is second guessing myself over everything. Wish I could tell it to SHUT UP

Is it a good sign when the interviewer responds to your thank you email? He could have just ignored it if he didn't like me. Now I just need to wait and see. Hopefully, my recruiter will have more insight tomorrow after speaking with HR.

It was a simple and polite acknowledgement of your email. Period. You may be a top choice, but it is foolish to try and read something into this.

There have been instances when I have received responses to thank you emails and did not end up getting the job. I would think of it as a nice courtesy, but not a sign of anything other than courtesy. Good luck!

Yes I often reply back with a simple one sentence of nice meeting just being polite.

don't get your hopes up until you get an offer. A response to a "thank you" is really just being polite. I never had time to respond to them when i was a hiring manager, but i think it's a good sign that the person responded (meaning they may not be overworked).
hopefully you get an offer soon -don't stress!

Like everyone said don't get your hopes too much but the two times I received a response to my thank you letter I ended up getting the job.
