Need some quick resume writing suggestions (highest, applying, fundraising, temporary)

Thanks in advance. I'm usually pretty good but I'm drawing a blank…
I'm doing a resume for a family member.

How do you feel about putting compliments on a resume that can't be "proven." Some people say unless you can back it up with a letter or thanks you note…..best to leave it off.

This is a young person (first job) who is a museum tour guide for groups of children.

He gets lots of compliments from the parents who come through. But clearly that's not a letter or note like someone has written in to say "loved that tour joe gave."

Anyway to say parents love his tours and interaction with the kids -- without it sounding like filler BS?

For his situation or anyone else…got any actual phrase suggestions for how you say or make note that you ARE praised for the work you do….and people have taken note of your good work.

Personally, I don't think those customer "testimonials" belong on a resume because it does sound like filler BS.
The best testimonial would be from his employer since they presumably received and attributed these kudos to the employee.

I would focus on giving lots of good information about his success with the position itself. For example:
Tour guide at Phoenix Art Museum, the southwest United State's largest museum for visual art.
Responsible for thorough knowledge of comprehensive collection of more than 18,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, and fashion design. Quickly learned detailed information and histories of guest collections and special exhibits.
Provided guided tours of all exhibits for diverse groups of 2-30, with a specialization in tours for children between the ages of 6 and 10.
Hosted tours for special events, including festivals, live performances, independent art films, and educational programs.
Facilitated educational programs, including internal workshops and community programs related to art history and photography.
Assisted in fundraising initiatives and membership drives.
Promoted new and traveling exhibits by highlighting upcoming events and exhibits during tours, both to enhance the tour experience while walking through transition areas and to encourage repeat revisits.
Met with artists and curators to expand knowledge of exhibits, provide guests with additional information regarding the history and artist's perspective of collections, and ensure the highest quality tour experience for guests.

If this is the only position on the resume, I would start with a paragraph that highlights the talents of the individual. This can provide additional information about the person's skills of working with children, teaching, and interacting and engaging a diverse group of customers. This is also a great place to tailor the skills to those of the position that the person is applying for.

thanks I was trying to think of a way to get his "good reviews" on the res.
He's not eager to let his boss know he might be leaving, so he doesn't' want to ASk for a complimentary letter.

But what I will ask him is have any groups he's led on tours, left comment cards that mention his name or commend him.
Even if they do I have to see if there's a way to get that on the res, with out sounding like trying to make something of nothing.

I just remembered he was selected to be a trainer of new staff so I do have that.
