I was sort of half-joking about the Saudi Aramco preferring ankle length (Islamic diversity) I am really serious that an American company now days should be more flexible about the attire the women they hire feel comfortable wear and not insist on a rigid uniform. Right here in the good old USA I have attended churches in Los Angeles and Texas, Pentecostal Christian, where pants suits were deemed "men's attire" and forbidden and of course knee length skirts and dresses risque. These women should have the right to work in the ankle length dresses that are not against their faith.

Knee length. Save ankle length or non-traditional fashion statements for after you have the job and people know you and love your quirkiness.

Good luck on your interview!

Maybe I'm just old. I remember actual business suits that came with maxi/below mid calf length skirts.

I agree. Even if the dress code allows for you to wear ankle-length while working there, it just doesn't seem to be interview material (no pun intended).

And, yes, good luck!

I agree. I'd prefer mid calf length too but dresses seem to be mostly knee length nowadays.

does it always have to be dresses/skirts for professional interviews? why not pant suits? i can never be comfortable with knee length dresses/skirts for interviews. i'd rather wear pants as i get cold really easily in indoor environments.

Pant suits are appropriate as well.
