stick to the point. I read a lot of resumes and the ones I like the most are simple and sweet. Without any unnecessary info diluting the goods.

I haven't used an "objective" in many years. The worst are the "to obtain a challenging position...." The objective is to get the job. You want a defining statement that sells your abilities.

biggest annoyance is seeing:

Objective:
To gain employment with xyz company.

I'm a professional resume writer and have opted to remove the "objective" from all my client resumes. We typically use a "professional summary" catered to jobs you are interested in or a hot list of "key accomplishments" right at the top.
