I've received responses and at first I took them as positive signs. I didn't get an offer for any of the jobs. So, unfortunately, I now know they're nothing more than polite responses.

It is a positive sign and I was hired when my thank you letter received a response. Hopefully your thank you letter asked about the next steps in the hiring process.

Stay positive, but always keep applying for other jobs just so at least have something lined up. Don't drop everything just yet.
