CNA and customer service are in general very low wage jobs here. Not likely you could last for long on those wages. Might be enough if you get on the stick and start looking HARD for something better. Many CS jobs are really hard core sales. And most of what you find will be part time with no benefits of any kind.

When you say something better do you mean at job at pays at least $15 an hour?
Why should they pay for an ad in an outside source when there is constant turnover? Frankly never heard of indeed.
Nationwide there's a shortage, let alone a growing community like Vegas. Especially a growing retirement community like we have here.
There's a shortage of RNs. That's way different than a CNA or PCT. both in terms of wages and demand.

I work locally in LV as an RN and don't agree there's a shortage here. Many applicants for a single position on a regular basis. Job competition is high. At least in the hospitals, I don't know about other settings for RN's.

Thanks for the update. I see a lot of RN requirement jobs for certain specialties that hit my inbox, particularly supporting electronic medical records, sometimes also for peds and such. I'm not an RN, so I skim by those, but I definitely see more of those than CNA gigs.
Check the website for the Valley Health system and do a job search there. It's a large hospital system and they don't always post their jobs on Indeed.

I cannot comment on customer service but CNA's at St. Rose Sienna start at $18 an hour and top out at $25. That is hardly a very low wage.
Look into CNA....maybe about a thousand bucks for a six week course. I worked at RCB Medical Arts Charter School, and they had a program where the high school students could get their CNA, while finishing HS. they were getting 10 or 11 per hour, and in great demand...that was five years ago. Would be a good entry point into the field. Could probably do as well as a vet tech.

If I get my CNA license in my current state, wouldn't I have to retake the certification in Arizona?
