If a side gig uses skills relevant to a job search does it get put on a resume? Is there a revenue cut off where if it’s below x amount don’t bother?

Side gig refers to current and continuing secondary pursuit?

This may or may not depending on how this might be read by a potential employer and you have provided enough details to even guess.

Two potential concerns I could see as a hiring manager-
First, could side gig compromise time and efforts away from primary job?
Second, could side gig relevant to primary job be business competition (hence non-compete agreements)?

Thanks. It’s buying and selling used music gear. Job sought has nothing to do with music and the actual goal is to find a better job and quit the side gig.

Great point about it appearing as competition for time etc.

Maybe it’s something better mentioned as an aside in an interview?

It’s just a steady reselling gig. No growth, not really a pursuit exactly at this point.

Or I guess it could be put down that it was just closed. That way it’s still on there but not seen as a potential distraction.

How is the side gig relevant to the job you're looking for? Are you going into sales?
Are you going to work for a music-gear related industry?

If no to all of the above, the side gig is irrelevant.

As bobsell mentions, if it's not relevant leave it off but if it comes up "organically" in interview conversation could be good to discuss.

If it's not part of your career goal or important experience in your line of work, leave it off.

If you choose to include any side gig on your resume, if you get hired, it could be part of the background check employment verification process. You might need to provide proof of start/end dates - usually via a prior supervisor or HR or other typical methods background check companies use to verify employment.

If they can't verify using typical methods, they might ask you to provide pay stubs, a W2 or 1099 or the IRS tax return which shows that company (if self employed).

Sometimes it's easier to leave side gigs off a resume rather than complicate the Employment Verification process. Unless the sid gig has some important experience which is needed for the future job. Then you include it.
