I'm working on this resume design at the moment. What do you think, is it too simple? (The content is made up)

The content matters more than the design.

Change Qualification to Education. Add any certifications. Drop the Achievements/Anything else unless it's something like applicable publishing or expert media appearances. No need to explain gaps or list hobbies.

Exactly.

As long as the design is readable, it is fine.

I rarely look at resumes anyway. I look at the data from the forms people have to fill out in our web application site. Resumes in terms of format are largely a waste of time. The important part is to describe your duties and accomplishments.
