I have been on a good number of "interviews". So many have cliché questions that you could "gag me with a wooden spoon".

I started to write down some of the dumb questions I'm asked, for example:

We're hiring part-time right now- 32 hrs max. "Are you available for over-time?
A: Is Sponge Bob your neighbor?

Lets see, you're almost 50. What do you see yourself doing 15 yrs from now?
A: Uhmm.... thats 65. What do most 65 years old do at that age?

Please don't mention names ect. and the answer clean.

Question: How soon can you start working?
Me: I was from out of state) When do you need me to begin?
Interviewer: We needed someone yesterday. (He needed someone so badly to start work, complimented me on my interview, yet admitted he had been interviewing for weeks and didn't hire me anyway). If someone was needed that badly, why interview for so long for an entry level position?????

When my wife was interviewing for grad school she was doing a phone interview and one of the schools asked her if she was Chinese. She said no and the person interviewing her said that he had not seen math and science grades combined with a GRE score that high with an American in years. Once he found out he begged my wife for a month to pick his school, there were not enough Americans in his program.

I hate when employers ask what salary you expect.. how can answer that question without getting screwed? You either go to low and *********rself, or you go too high and still get screwed!

While interviewing for a pre-school job and informing them that I have been working with children for many years, I was asked"

"How do you feel about cleaning up barf?"
That is exactly how they asked it. What kind of question is that?
Yes, because when I'm hiring a teacher the only thing I want from them is that they are okay with cleaning up barf.

In an interview for an A/P position the interviewer asked me If you were a fruit what fruit would you be and why? Ummmm, what? I answered that I would be an apple as they are versatile and are good on their own or blended with other fruits.
