Careerbuilder.com is a joke - I sent applied to over 75 jobs in the two weeks and received two emails for the companies I applied to. - I have 20+ years experience in my field - 3 years experience in a related field and a Bachelors degree in the same. I know that with my qualification and experience I should have gotten a better response. After researching the ads placed, I found out only 14 companies received my resume, 12 of the ads were over 30 days old when CareerBuilder stated the had just received them that day. I am letting everyone know boycott CareerBuilder.com, Tell your friends to boycott them, They use deceitful practices and as a job board they are full of crap

CareerBuilder is not good to me. It's full of mostly Temp Agencies and commission based sales jobs companies "Aflac" for example. I'd try indeed.com; they helped me find plenty of jobs & I also found my current job on this site.

Haven't logged into CareerBuilder since maybe 2007. I found that it was full of horrible job with high turnover or high burnout rates.

In the past I had success with Craigslist, but for my most recent positions and interviews, LinkedIn has been extremely successful. I have about a 40% 1st interview rate via LinkedIn.

I think Indeed.com is the best job site. Whenever I go to that website on my phone, it shows my last 10 job searches and how many "updates" aka new listings there are. The results are always numerous with many relevant ones up first.

Careerjet.com and glassdoor.com sometimes have results that other websites don't have.

Best advice in this thread.

Careerbuilder is basically a Temp-Agencies temp agency.

Career builder has landed me several interviews in the past. I'm pretty sure I have found at least one job via careerbuilder as well. Kind of surprised me how effective it is for me, given the fact that I am in a very blue collar occupation.

Over 3 years I had 1 decent interview from CB with the rest AFLAC and Farmer's Ins. Monster is even worse. These 2 are the AOL of job boards.
