Guess I'm not that type of person. I work to live not live to work and as I don't pay any bills there is not much motivation.

I like to travel, hike, photography, cooking, shopping (I probably spend 1/3 of my income on clothing), spend time with family, friends and my dog.

There are just not too many remote job options and I really enjoy working from home.

Just curious what fabulous careers you people have??

Originally studied for and started off as a wildlife biologist but morphed into public land/wilderness management, planning and environmental compliance. Consequently, almost exclusively employed by state or federal government. If none of them were hiring I'd volunteer and negotiated some sort of living situation with local NGOs to keep updated and active. It took 10 years of seasonal, part-time, and limited term jobs to land my first permanent status position (with benefits). Not a profession for the easily discouraged, high maintenance, or inherently inflexible. You need to follow the jobs, so I relocated countless times around the country over the years and accepted many "other duties as assigned". You keep your eye on the longer term prize and suck it up when the work isn't exactly what you'd prefer. Retired now after sticking with it for more than 35 years. It really was a vocation, a passion about much more than the paycheck.

That's the nature of the field. I pursued it a bit in my 20s. Some summers I'm running transects through Kentucky swamps. Other's electroshocking in streams. Another massasauga surveys in Wisconsin. Long hours, very low pay. Fantastic gigs.

Those National Geographic-looking jobs don't tend to pay very well...in terms of money anyway!

No, not at all. But, I was being paid to look for rattlesnakes? Like, for real money?

I thought I was in heaven.

Again - you sound like a spoiled child. No training, education or desire to do something about it. As long as your spouse is ok with paying the bills you are fine.

And you're not condescending at all.

He's not the one asking for help and not offering the least bit of adult input to the situation.
Condescending is at the kind end of the positions available wrt your life.

I see working to bring home income is not on your priority list. Afterall, you're married and can depend on your husband to bring home the bacons, why bother?

Here's another option for you --- create your own YouTube channel. Alternatively, buy/ sell clothes on Ebay and/or Amazon. They are all "remote" jobs, don't need to deal with people, you can enjoy working from home.

You just need to figure out what content will others click to watch/ buy.

Well, I'd like to be a billionaire and not have to work for a living too, but guess what?

Life is not like that.

You'd need education (which you don't want to do) and work experience (which you don't have) to get them.
