I was relating my comments to candidate interviews not necessarily hired temp or perm employees. I understand your comment though.
Don't get me wrong, at the interview (lunch interview) I noticed those teeth. It was pretty disgusting and sad. But, I get your point. Beyond that, people should be more mindful of their breath. period.
There is just a lack of manners today in general. If someone takes the time to come in for an interview(and in some cases a 2nd and 3rd interview) and never hears back, that is just rude.
Didn't used to happen. How long does it take to just send someone an email and say thanks but no thanks?
People get frustrated when they don't hear back at all.
I totally agree with this, especially the part "If it's meant to be - it will happen".
I try to keep a positive outlook, even when I get those rejection letters in the mail from interviews - I even got one today...
It's always good to be positive. Especially in this job market. By the way, it's REALLY LAME, how the 'skills' of going from thread to thread, and hounding some posters with personal attacks, can't be 'translated' into great-paying jobs. If it could, then some of these CD posters, would be gagillianaires!
I was told I would not be hired because I wasn't the right gender. They were looking to hire another woman as a receptionist.
I would think that human resources would give a stock answer to the question. Something along the lines of: "We cannot tell you why the decision not to hire you was made, only that you did not meet the qualifications for the opening in some way."
The same sort of response we give when asked why a client was denied a refund anticipation loan. Of course, in that case, they generally KNOW why they were denied, and do not need an Adverse Action letter. But we tell them to contact the bank for the answer to their question.
