I've been in the interview process with a University for an analyst position for about two weeks now... booking my third interview will take us into the third week. But I applied for this damned thing back in early December!

If it was So Obvious, why did you do it. You are supposedly Mr. Perfect. I can't believe you Made such an egregious error, and then called it just a TYPO.

This happens all the time. It's not "standard" for a company to take the job off if they have tons of candidates, but it happens enough that I wouldn't read into it. Generally a secretary or some real low level employee is the one that handles job boards for companies, so I wouldn't read too much into their accuracy - they are out of date or inaccurate a LOT. Companies post jobs way ahead of time, take them off somewhat randomly, will sometimes leave jobs already filled out there...there's a variety of things. Don't worry about it and kick butt on your interview.

Alright, I'll bite: What company is "The Worst Company Ever"? I like to think my current job/company (Evercare Hospice, a subsidiary of United Healthcare) ought to receive that title, but maybe its not as bad as it could be?

Well I'm probably exaggerating but there's nothing more maddening to me than having nothing to do I'm an analyst.. I started on January 5th, and have taken meeting minutes for two! Count them! Two meetings! since I started I have analyzed nothing but the number of threads in my cubicle wall.

The rest of the time has been spent... doing nothing. There is nothing to do. I'm bored to tears. So maybe it's someone's "Best Company Ever!" Funny thing is, this place is on the Top 100 list for companies to work for, which is what drew me in! I'm at a satellite office though, so I'm thinking all the work must be up at headquarters

Oh believe me, I ask everyone daily. I think the problem is that they hired me a few months too early. They're understaffed in the departments that would produce the things I need to work with.
