The only difference between a) and c) is that a) is past tense and c) is present tense. We will see if the continuing saga leads to a repeat of b).

Allegedly an HR rep from the DC-area firm. It's also possible that they an out of work middle-management type with a bad-attitude who might find a job if they spent half the amount of time looking that they do posting ridiculous scenarios on C-D.

The resume another poster had shown was a perfect example of a weak marketing document. It looked like a modified employment application, instead of a document marketing you as a strong job applicant. Where are the accomplishments, skills, examples of success and a descriptions of talents?

This weak marketing document that looks like a modified employment application has landed me 3 paid gigs in less than half a year. Everything you specified (besides my awful singing and dancing) is listed on my resume

Whoever you are, I agree that was a pretty poor resume. Not that a soul helped me with mine when I posted it but this has way too much educational stuff and not enough about what was accomplished in the experience section. I didn't even know it was possible to have above a 4.00 GPA in college so chances are some employers won't either.

Dave, you mind posting your resume? Not sure what "achievements" to list besides that I am responsible for inputting millions of dollars worth of journal entries, tutored "x" number of kids, pulled "x" amount of weeds, or what?

You can see my resume there but I won't post it on this thread since it should by no means be a model.

//www.city-data.com/forum/work-...-specific.html

But what I've been told it that a student should not have more than one page and not so much educational stuff. You just need to phrase your work accomplishments in some way that demonstrates you would be an asset for whatever company. I'll bet you have some good points to work with on your accounting internship and the volunteering (many companies eat that stuff up)

Congrats on getting the jobs though-if a resume gets you an interview it's done its job. But how did you get a GPA higher than 4.00? In high school it's possible because of AP classes but I've never heard of this.
