Ive aplied for an internship at an art museum. Is it also important to wear a suit for an internship interview or would i be overdressesd? Should I just wear a shirt and tie? Im worried about being over or underdressed. Im guessing that there is not much differance between an internship interview and a real professional job interview. ANy athoughts on this??

Wear a suit. It's always better to be over-dressed than under-dressed.

I tend to agree that is better to be overdressed, but it is also important to "fit in" and in the case of an art museum where they may have some candidates for the the internship that are "arty" or at least "hip" you might want to make a special effort to scope out the dressing habits of the employees so that your suit does not come off as "too square / business oriented". You can get some ideas of how to look appropriately professional yet have some hipness by sticking with some of the trendier clothing -- H&M more than Brooks Brothers...

Definitely scope out how people dress at the museum. If they're in suits, wear a suit. If they're in slacks, a shirt and a tie, wear at least that or a suit. If they're in t-shirts and jeans, wear a tucked-in polo and slacks.
