I am very familar with Deborah Feldman. I bought her book a long while back and read it with shock of what she went thru. There are people here locally who disagree with what she did and are negative towards her views. I can believe what she went thru and can't relate in any way, but it helped me to get a grasp on the Hasidic people.

You say a lot I agree on and can't give you any positive feedback since it says, "I need to spread some around". Don't understand. Anyways, I agree on this and have seen and heard about drugs & abuse in the Jewish Community where I am at. I also have seen and heard about the alcohol abuse in the community also.
