First, can you explain the whole concept of modesty and how it is supposed to apply to Jewish women and men? Also, is there a difference of modesty in the orthodox movement?
In case anyone is interested in a Torah view, yes, men are required to act and dress tznius as well. The rules vary from men to women, as obviously outside of gender bending environments, men and women vary.
Ok, so what are the requirements of modesty for men?
Entire books are written on the subject. Are you seriously interested in learning? If so, please ask a more specific question, and we can start from there. Something like "I know women are required to cover their hair to be tznius. Are men required to cover their hair too?"
99% sure that kilts are a no-no for men and pants are a no-no for women due to the negative Mitzvot described in Deuteronomy 22:5.
No and No. This is one of the reasons the Torah needs to be read in Hebrew with understanding of Hebrew, Aramaic and context. The context part comes from reading the Tanakh from cover to cover multiple times so one may learn the format and thus distinguish the multiple words in Hebrew that all seem to be one word in English but are not. Having the knowledge of Linguistic Anthropology is highly beneficial in getting intended meanings correctly understood.
Enlighten me broseph, because I am interested in what Deut 22:5 means then. I'm not fluent in Hebrew to read the Torah in its intended way.
