A couple of years ago, I was visiting my brother's home and my sister-in-law had me use an Israeli cookbook to make haroset. I ended up combining two different Sephardic recipes together (according to the available ingredients) and I remember it came out very good. I wish I had written down what I had done for further reference!

Ooh look what I found! Not sure I agree with making lists and going shopping on Shabbat but I suppose it can be done Saturday night.
