English is the official language of City-Data. While the use of single words or short word phrases is sometimes necessary to accurately communicate in this forum, posts need to be done in English and some leeway must be given to posters when working with words from non-English languages.
When using non-English keep it short and if the meaning is not obvious from the content please include a translation.
It is understood by the Mods that for religious purposes sometimes non-English is needed to adequately express the Judaic view
I think this is the second attempt to do this within the past two years by W. I think I can vouch for at least two of us who've gotten tired of creating a glossary for a certain poster in order to respond to their post so others could understand what was being discussed. Even in this thread a certain poster has thrown in Spanish already for whatever reason.
Purpose of this thread was to make people aware that the Use of non-English will not automatically be considered a TOS violation.
It has now been added to the Forum Rules.
This thread is no longer needed.
