My son was very excited but I just saw the preview and unless they played a very meek humble Moses, I wouldn't waste my time, I doubt Christian Bale is gonna show me humble.
The first factually incorrect scene came exactly 1 second into the movie when the screen flashed a statement saying the Hebrews were enslaved in Egypt for 400 years. Wrong!

Who is talking about fact? This is a movie! The 400 years is biblically correct and that is what matters in a movie based on a book.
Genesis 15:13
And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Exodus 12:40-41
Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.
If you are going to require that all movies be factually accurate relative to the real world, then I suggest not going to the movies.
Exodus was an interesting movie, as it put more realistic turnabouts to Biblical stores, such as a tsunami being the cause for the Red Sea receding, rather than Moses just parting the water right away. But, the movie is very long and boring. Good movie, but took too long.

I dont understand the distinction. The first verse says affliction, the second says dwelt - wouldn't that indicate biblically that they are not the same. a) 430 is not 400, and dwelling is not affliction, finally the time line year wise is quite clear, and it doesn't match up.
The film is incredibly offensive if one would care about such things. And dont get me started on that Red Tent nonsense.
