I've made hamantaschen from scratch. It's ok but not as good as the ones from the bakery.
When made from scratch you can customize the fillings. The best hamantaschen I ever had was in France. There's nothing like a French pastry
. Apple filling is the most popular there.
I'll have to try Chava's cake recipe next year.
