Can anyone actually find the source of this quote; where did she actually say this; or is it false attribution?

Sources:
  1. A source (link).
  2. Another source (link).
  3. Yet another source (link).
  4. Yet another source (link).
Mind you, these may all be spurious. Who knows?

Those are all secondary sources which don't cite a primary source. Was it a speech; a diary or even someone's diary where the said they heard her say it.

False attribution and spurious quotes are, alas, fairly common. This appears to be one. Haaretz ran an article in 2015 where they could not find the source of this or another famous saying attributed to her.

I’ll grant you that possibility. It’s certainly something that she was quite capable of saying.

I have no doubt she may have said it; but as with many quotes attributed to the American Founders, what sounds like someone said something often either wasn't said or is taken out of context.

Certainly it was in her style; not like "it ain't over till it's over" or "that restaurant was so crowded no one goes there any more."

I agree. Just so you know, Hebrew was hardly Golda's first language; that was English.

Indeed, her home in Denver is a museum. https://www.ahec.edu/auraria/golda-meir-house

But as PM, she was fluent in Hebrew.
