I think you may be right about that. A co-worker of mine loves Waldo for their gluten-free pizza though!

What place would you recommend for gluten free pizza?

Well I don't know much about it, but my coworker gets pizza from Waldo pizza and I think Spin occasionally too.

I've had arguments, literal arguments, with people over that place. Give me a St. Louis Bread Co/Panera any day of the week.

KC has a handful of Italian delis worth mentioning, though we could use a few more. There are only a handful that have prosciutto, capicola, genoa salami, etc with hard breads. There are a few like Carollo's in City Market, Bella Napoli in Brookside and Pandolfi's in Columbus Park - the latter uses Boar's Head meats. Consentino's carries Boars Head meats but they don't use them for their own deli. There are a few in JoCo as well but that's about it. I guess I can understand the lack of these places as those meats are getting to be expensive. I find such meat plates at small eat lounges like Bluestem/Tannin but they are seen less at delis these days, even on E Coast.

Am disappointed with d'Bronx. No Italian meats except low grade genoa salami, they use iceberg lettuce as filler and they switched breads from a nice hard bread to essentially Wonderbread. It has virtually no identity to NYC delis, but the 39th location is a cool place. They are trying to be both a deli and pizza place, which you don't see together in NYC. They do have a few good items but it doesn't justify the name of a NY deli. Cupini's (STL style) surprisingly doesn't carry good deli meats either as expensive the place is - and they downgraded their breads as well.

I've found D'Bronx's pastrami and corned beef to be where they reall shine. They're not what I would consider a true Italian market. Cupini's does nothing but disappoint no matter how many chances I seem to give it.

If ya'll are ever in St. Louis and you don't go to Adriana's you're missing out on my favorite Italian sandwiches ever. Oh god, so hungry. Adriana's On The Hill

Central Ave in KCK has become a major strip for Mexican street food/goods. Here's a review from a particular foodie of some of the better places on that strip in his opinion...

Not really into those in general but have heard those are good from those particular about it. Sounds like that is their strong area.
