I've seen Check! Please! several times. But I don't believe I've seen a negative review yet. Everyone seems to love every restaurant.

I've seen several with negative feedback. The way it works is that each on the panel pick their favorite and the others go. There were several times 'the others' didn't like the pick at all.

One of my friends was a panelist last year, and on that episode, there was one selected restaurant that ended up getting panned by two of the three.

Watched one this weekend and while it didn't at all make me want to go to the Tea Room (Not. My. Style) in Lee's Summit, it did make me want to head down to downtown LS regardless. I've driven through, but never stopped and it is awful cute.

I live in downtown LS, but have never been to the tearoom. I've been to most of the other food-based establishments, though. There are quite a few. The downtown council puts a ton of time, money, and effort into holding regular community events downtown, which is nice. This past weekend was the chocolate crawl, a "shop locally" booster where shopkeepers put out a variety of chocolate treats and had special events...even though it was drizzly and not that warm, there were tons of people out for it. It was nice.
