And St. Louis gets ragged on a lot for its crime rates, although if you look up most dangerous metros, Kansas City is actually more dangerous than St. Louis.

Anyway, Kansas City is a great town. I agree it is often underrated. I still like St. Louis a lot, but my cousin lived in Kansas City for a few years and she said it was nice.
I checked the crime rates. St. Louis has more murders than KC and more crime than KC. I checked it on this website.

That's what I thought too, that the violent crime rate in St. Louis was much higher than KC. St. Louis has never appealed to me AT ALL!

They are mostly isolated to a few pockets in the city.

yeah i think this is true for most all cities...some have higher levels of violence but they are still in the same area.

I don't look at KC as unsafe at all, but it still usually ranks in the top 10 of most violent cities... or at least i think used to could be wrong now.

Love that there's a typo in the article -- congrats on having some of the best BBQ "in the county." That's quite the accomplishment :P

St. Louis doesnt play second fiddle to Chicago. St. Louis is a second fiddle to Chicago.

Chicago is the third biggest city in the country and known worldwide. It is known as one of America's great cities.

St. Louis isnt even in the Top 25 largest cities in the US, I believe.

St. Louis natives always want to try to compare to Chicago when they arent even close to the city it is.
