Just set it to generate a new copy thread twice a week and we'd have the same effervescent forum we've known for the last 10 years perpetuated with the same content....without the need for another keystroke.
Maybe because it's a chronic problem? Blindfolds don't make a problem go away.

100% agree.

I actually know people that work there. A whole bunch LMFAO already live in MO and their tax revenue rolls up through corporate so you just paid a crap ton of money for what exactly?

I've long agreed with kcmo on poaching being bad. We only argued when it was presented as being solely a one-sided problem.

I know the border rivalries run deep but wow, talk about cutting your own nose off to spite your face.

Just a little reminder of the real life impact of some of these incentives.

Walmart crime problem noted as Raytown lays off police | The Kansas City Star

Go get em Raytown! Love the idea of labeling them a nuisance.

Terrific....as the thread digs deeper to dump more dirt on the KC metro.

"Walmart crime problem"? If we must go there, let's get real....try Raytown/Kansas city crime problem. Who is the real public nuisance - Walmart or the rif-raf that populate the area nearby?

Raytown approved and offered the incentives because they wanted the store. And they wanted the store because it provides a real benefit to law-abiding and responsible citizens in jobs, products, and services. A very legitimate business that is, sadly, a favorite target of thugs and the political left alike. So now the latter labels it a "public nuisance" due to the relentless attack upon it by the former. Terrific.

But we wouldn't really expect a different slant from the Star, now would we?

Here's an idea for a truce: The two states can agree (secretly) to independently solicit outside companies to come to their state, in hopes that the OTHER state might offer them a huge incentive to move right across the border. And they might even get another bonus for moving back again a few years later!

You could set up a whole office complex that straddles State Line Road just to accommodate these new arrivals. They'll flock to the metro in droves!
